The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but does shows light wear to the bottom corners. The leather has developed caramel patina with water spots and soiling. The leather trim has heavy wear and rubbing. The handles have heavy wear and creasing with staining. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches with some flaking. The interior shows light wear, some pen marks, and a few faint spot, but otherwise is in good condition.
