The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and in overall great condition, but does have very light wear in the bottom corner edges, as well as some creasing near the zippers. The leather has developed a dark honey patina, with water spots and scuff marks throughout (please refer to photos). The canvas shoulder strap shows signs of minor wear. The goldtone hardware has minimal flaking and surface scratches. The interior is clean and shows no signs of heavy wear, but does have a noticeable perfume odor.
