The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and in great condition, but there is slight creasing throughout, as well as wear in each of the lower corner edges. The leather has developed a honey patina with water spots overall. The leather shoulder strap very heavy wear and creasing throughout. The base of the shoulder strap has markings from the buckles resting against the leather (please refer to photos). Further, the underside of the strap has darkened and developed a waxy texture from being held. The goldtone hardware has flaking and surface scratches. The front pocket is missing a snap on the left side of the top of the flap (please refer to photo) The interior has some spots as well as a faint musk odor, but otherwise is clean and still has plenty of life left in it!
