The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis is clean and beautiful, but upon a closer inspection there is a transfer mark on the rear. The leather has developed a medium honey patina. The leather trim and inlaid handles have light signs of gentle use, but remain clean. The shoulder strap is clean with light wear to the glazed edges. The goldtone hardware has hairline surface scratches, but remains bright. The interior lining has soiling, staining and spots throughout.
