The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis is clean and beautiful, but throughout there are spots, only visible upon a close inspection. The leather trim on the sides of the bag have creasing and scuff marks. The vachetta underside of the shoulder strap has developed a caramel patina and shows creasing as well as signs of rubbing. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The interior has some creasing to the leather and rubbing to the fabric, but otherwise is clean and still in good condition.
