The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis leather is clean and beautiful with faint spots overall, visible only upon a close inspection. Along the seams of the bag, there are also small stains from the manufacturing glue (please refer to photos). The leather has developed a nice light caramel patina. The leather trimming on the bag shows minimal wear, but creasing throughout. The shoulder strap has creasing and very faint water spots. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches, but is bright. The interior is clean and in good condition, however the lining of the front pocket is starting to flake.
