The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful. The leather has developed a light honey patina with water spots throughout. The leather piping has light wear and rubbing at the bottom corners. The shoulder strap has softened from wear throughout and the underside has slightly darkened with faint soiling. The goldtone hardware has minor hairline scratches. The interior has spots on the lining and soiling throughout, but otherwise it is clean and still in good condition.
