The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful throughout. The leather has developed a light honey patina with some water spots and light soiling throughout. The leather trim at the bottom corners has some rubbing and gentle soiling. The shoulder strap has wear, soiling and creasing throughout. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches, but remains bright and crisp. The interior shows faint signs of wear and an ink stain, but otherwise is still in good condition.
