The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.
The exterior canvas has several faint white scuffs throughout. There is a large black stain on the side. The leather has turned a deep honey patina with darker areas near the bottom and noticeable scuffing as well. There is a lose thread on the top of the handle. The hardware has started to tarnish and has noticeable surface scratches. The interior is clean and in good condition.
