The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but upon a close inspection there is light wear following the edges of the bag. The leather has developed a light caramel patina with overall water spots. The leather piping has minor rubbing and light wear. The handles have overall creasing, heavy wear, softening, and the glazing at the tops have worn down. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches and some flaking. The interior is clean and in great condition with faint signs of wear, some faint spots, and a light musty odor.
