The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but there is slight wear to the bottom corner edges. The leather has developed a dark honey patina with overall water spots. The leather piping has wear throughout. The leather chaps at the base of the handles have wear and scuff marks. The handles have wear and darkening, as well as a slight waxy texture from normal use. The goldtone hardware has flaking and is starting to tarnish. The interior lining has some spots and throughout there is a musk odor, but otherwise it is clean and still in good condition.
