The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful throughout. The metal feet have started to fade. The leather has developed a light honey patina with water spots overall. The leather piping on the bag has wear throughout. The leather trim at the top of the bag has creasing and in the corners it was wear. The shoulder strap has wear and creasing throughout, with faint soiling on the underside as well as a small pen mark. The buckle on the shoulder strap has left a marking on the leather. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches, but is still bright. The interior is clean and in good condition.
