The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful with several faint scuffs. The leather trim and handles are a deep honey patina with wear to the bottom corners and piping. The center strips have signs of wear and stains. The rear left side of the handle has several noticeable indentations. The top of the handles have developed a darker patina with signs of wear and scuffs. The shoulder strap has large water spots and signs of wear as well. The hardware has started to flake and lose its plating. The interior has light stains throughout the base but is otherwise clean and in good condition.
