The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior of this bag has light scuffing from use. The straps and trim are a medium honey patina with signs of wear and surface scuffs. The bottom corners show signs of wear and the red edges of the trim have started to wear away. There is a darker strip of leather on the top of the base of the handles on both sides of the bag. The handles are slightly darker on the underside from use. There are a few scuffs on the shoulder strap. The goldtone hardware is flaking and has scratches. The interior is clean and in good condition. This bag has been gently well loved through the years but still has a lot of life in it!
