The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful with only very slight wear along the bottom edges. The metal feet have fading and wear. The leather has developed a honey patina with water spots throughout. The leather trim overall has scuff marks and creasing. The handles also have creasing throughout, as well as wear and faint soiling. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The interior lining is clean and in very good condition. Please note, this bag has been relined by Louis Vuitton and therefore has a newer date code than the year this bag was originally manufactured.
