The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but there is minor wear along the edges of the base. The metal feet have tarnished and faded. The leather has developed a light honey patina, but overall there are water spots and wear (please refer to photos). The leather trim throughout the bag has heavy creasing. The leather trim along the bottom of the bag has oil stains. The handles overall have minor signs of wear and creasing. The goldtone hardware has flaking and surface scratches. The interior lining is in great condition with only light signs of wear.
