The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but throughout there is minor creasing. The bottom corner edges have wear. The leather has developed a light caramel patina, but overall there are water spots. The leather piping on the bag has wear. The leather buckle strap has overall creasing as well as some scuffing. The handles have wear and faint soiling. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The interior lining has spots as well as a light perfume scent, but otherwise is clean and still in good condition.
