The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but there is minor wear in the bottom corner edges. The leather has developed a warm patina with water spots overall. The leather piping has signs of wear throughout. The leather chaps at the bases of the handles have light scuffing. The handles have darkened and worn from being held. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches and fading. The interior has stains and pen marks, but otherwise is clean and still in good condition.
