The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but upon close inspection the bottom corner edges show fading. The leather has developed a honey patina with water spots present throughout. The leather piping has overall signs of rubbing. The front leather buckle straps have creasing and wear. The leather trim on the back of the bag has faint discoloration from normal wear. The shoulder straps and the top handle have creasing and signs of wear overall. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The interior is clean and in good condition.
