The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and in excellent condition with slight creasing throughout. The bottom corner edges are worn. The leather handles and trim have developed a dark honey patina overall. The leather shows water spots and scratch marks. The leather side tabs and the zipper pull tab have wear and creasing. The goldtone hardware has darkened the leather handles. The hardware has tarnished and is flaking. The attached strap is heavily worn - the plating on the hardware has worn off revealing the silver hardware underneath. The interior is clean with no signs of heavy wear. While this bag has been well-loved, but still has plenty of life left in it!
