The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful with only very slight wear in the bottom corner edges, as well as minor creasing throughout. The leather has developed a caramel patina with water spots overall. The handles have wear and soiling (please refer to photos). The leather side tabs and zipper pull have creasing (please refer to photos). The goldtone hardware has surface scratches and has started to tarnish. The interior is clean, but has pen marks and stains throughout, otherwise it is still in good condition.
