The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, however there are slight scuff marks throughout the bag. Furthermore, the bottom corner edges have wear, which is particularly heavy in the rear right corner. The leather has developed a honey patina with water spots overall. The leather trim along the top of the bag has creasing and wear. The handles overall also have creasing and wear, followed by darkening at the tops. The tops of the handles have developed a waxy texture from normal use. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The interior has minor stains and there is a faint musk odor present, but otherwise it is clean and still in good condition.
