The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful throughout with some minor creasing. The leather has developed a light honey patina, but there are visible water spots throughout. The leather base has wear around the bottom edges and shows light soiling. The leather trim along the sides of the bag show creasing and some oil stains. The leather draw strap and shoulder straps have heavier creasing causing light cracks to develop. The goldtone hardware has tarnished. The interior has a light must scent, but is otherwise clean and still in good condition.
