The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful with minor creasing. The leather has developed a nice and light honey patina throughout, however water spots are present. The leather trim along the base has wear, most heavily in the bottom corner edges. The leather trim overall has signs of wear and creasing. On the rear handle, the leather trim on the base has started to fray from wear (please refer to photo #13 of photo set). The handles overall have signs of wear and the tops have started to darken. The front handle has an area of multiple small puncture marks (please refer to photo #14 of photo set). The goldtone hardware has surface scratches and in some areas has tarnished. The interior has some spots, but otherwise is clean and still in good condition.
