The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, with creasing and has minor wear to the bottom corner edges. The leather has developed a honey patina, but has soiling and water spots throughout. The flap top buckle straps show creasing and wear with scuffing. The leather trim on the flap tops show wear and rubbing. The shoulder strap has creasing overall with wear, particularly along the glazing. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The interior has some spots throughout, wear, light soiling, and fading as well as a musty odor, but otherwise is clean and in good condition.
