The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented.

The exterior canvas is clean and in great condition, but throughout there is creasing and the bottom corner edges have worn. The leather overall has developed a dark honey patina with heavy cracking, creasing, and wear present (please refer to photos). The goldtone hardware has tarnished and darkened. The interior is clean with no signs of heavy wear, but there is a faint musk odor present.
