The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior Monogram canvas is clean overall but shows rubbing along the bottom corners and creasing. The leather overall has developed light honey patina with water spots. The leather piping has light wear and rubbing especially at the bottom corners. The leather trim has creasing and some oil spots. The handles show scuffing, wear, and creasing. Also, the glazing has started to show wear. The hardware has surface scratches. The interior shows light wear and and rubbing, but is otherwise in good condition.
