The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but there is slight wear in both the top and the bottom corner edges. The leather has developed a honey patina with water spots throughout. The leather side tabs on the bag have worn and have curled. The leather trim below the handles has creasing and minor wear. The handles have wear overall and the tops have darkened as well as developed a slight waxy texture from being held. The leather at the base of the handles has stretched and has started to tear (please refer to photos). The goldtone hardware has surface scratches and the zipper pull has started to fade. The interior is clean and in good condition.
