The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. The exterior canvas is clean and in excellent condition throughout. The leather has not yet developed a patina. The leather piping along the bottom edges shows rubbing and some light wear. The leather at the base of the handles show very light wear along the edges. The hardware has minor hairline scratches but is still crisp and very bright. The interior is clean and in excellent condition throughout.
