The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but there is minor wear in the bottom corner edges. The leather has developed a light honey patina with water spots present overall. The leather trim has minor scuff marks throughout. The handles have light wear and the undersides have signs of rubbing. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches and is starting to flake. The interior is clean and in good condition.
