The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but there is wear along the bottom edges of the bag. The sides of the bag have minor creasing. The base shows a light wear and a faint spot. The leather has developed a honey patina and soiling with water spots throughout. Overall, the handles have wear, softening, and creasing with darkening at the tops of the handles. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches and shows tarnishing. The interior lining has some spots, light wear, and a musty odor, but otherwise is in good condition.
