The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis is clean and beautiful, but has a faint transfer mark on the base of the bag (please refer to photos). On the sides of the bag, beneath the base of the strap, there is a stain from the manufacturing glue. The leather has developed a nice honey patina with water spots, wear, and creasing throughout (please refer to photos). The strap also shows marks from the buckle resting on the leather. The stitching at the buckle has come loose. The goldtone hardware is bright, but has surface scratches. The interior is clean and in good condition.
