The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis leather is clean and beautiful throughout with tiny transfer marks upon close inspection. The leather trim and strap are a dark honey patina with water marks and soiling throughout. The handles and shoulder strap have darkened and softened from use. The hardware is bright and clean with hairline surface scratches, some of the hardware has begun to fade. The interior lining has wear and staining but is still in good condition.
