The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis shows a few minor signs of wear and scuffs. The leather trim has developed a lovely medium honey patina throughout the bag. The piping around the edges of the bag show minor soiling. The leather panels up the center of the bag show faint water stains and signs of wear. The handles show a slightly darker patina at the top from being held, and the red edge glazing has started to fray. The hardware has surface scratches. The interior shows light signs of wear and creasing, along with a slight perfume odor.
