The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis is clean and beautiful, but there are small transfer marks on the back and front of the bag. The leather has developed a nice light honey patina with water spots and creasing throughout. The goldtone hardware is bright, but has surface scratches and the zipper pull is fading. The interior is clean and in good condition.
