The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior leather is clean and beautiful with light signs of wear to the bottom corner edges. The Vernis leather has some light creasing and some minor wear. The Vernis leather has softened a bit and the goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The interior leather is clean but shows scuff marks and a wear mark from the snap closure. The interior coin purse has some light soiling. Overall the wallet is in good condition.
