The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

Overall this bag has been gently carried and is in excellent condition. The exterior Vernis leather is clean and in great condition, however there are few dark spots and light hairline scratches. The back of the bag shows cracking to the Vernis leather at the top of the flap. The leather throughout the bag has developed a lovely honey patina but shows light signs of wear and faint soiling. The bottom corners are worn and show scuffing as well. The leather strap is creased and there are visible water marks throughout. The hardware has surface scratches but is still shiny and bright. The interior is clean and in great condition throughout with light creasing. There is a small crack on the right side of the interior flap.
