The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis is clean and in great condition throughout with a very small mark on the front. The Vernis at the top gusseted corners have started to peel. The bottom corner show light signs of wear and the bottom metal feet have surface scratches and have started to dull to silvertone at the center. The leather has developed a nice medium honey patina with water stains and light scratches throughout. The handles show light soiling and the long strap shows residue from being previously adjusted. The hardware has surface scratches. The interior shows stains and signs of wear throughout, but has been cleaned and is in good condition overall.
