The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colours throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis is clean and beautiful, but throughout there are some faint scuff marks, as well as stains from the manufacturing glue at the bottom of the front exterior pocket (please refer to photos). The leather has developed a honey patina with overall water spots, minor wear, and minimal soiling. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches and fading. The interior is clean and in good condition, however the lining of the front exterior pocket has started to peel.
