The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean but does have creasing from being folded, and rubbing at the bottom corners. The leather trimmings and handles have developed a medium honey patina with wear throughout. The center leather strips have creasing with cracking and soiling throughout. The handles have rubbing, and scuffing to the leather. The glazed edges on the handles have wear and cracking. The hardware has tarnishing and surface scratches throughout. The interior is clean and remains in good condition with light signs of gentle wear and a faint musty scent. Overall this bag remains in good condition given its age!
